DVD video resolution

I'm trying to create a simple looping animation for a DVD. I'm using Roxio Toast in OS X to burn my disc. My video file is 1024x768. I'm designing for a Windows computer whose resolution is 1024x768. Toast is making the final video 640x480 when it burns the DVD. Of course, it looks like crap.
How can I prevent this downsizing?
If I can't, what are my options with DVD Studio Pro? (That program scares me. I don't want any menus.)

720x480 is DVD resolution. Nothing you can do about it.

I'll take 720x480. It's better than what I'm getting.

Ok, now, neither program will burn video at any size other than 640x480. My source video is 720x480 now. Is there any way around this?

Make that: my source video is now 720x540. I want that to be the size of the video on my DVD, not 640x480.

guys, video is or 720x576 (digital) or 768x576 (analogue) both PAL, NTSC 720x480 - DVD will always be one of these formats.

you sure it isn't 720x480, Cy?
I don't think you can create a DVD at any other resolution.(I am talking NTSC)
You have iDVD? If you don't have menus and want it to autoplay it should do what you need.

And if I really want to be nitpicky don't forget video doesn't use square pixels.

dude..
is the final product for a computer?
is it a data DVD? or for a dvd player like windvd?
i would just make a flash presentation or something, and have the video.. then you can do any resolution...

1024x768?
was that out of final cut pro? or flash?
what kind of HD shit are you woring on!? lol
flash or director could be your answer here to make a autorun data dvd...
you could even have it so, when it goes into a DVD player (TV) it plays normally at NTSC.. but when inserted into a computer DVD player it'll play the flash or director autorun...
