I need some good examples of "edgy" logos. The client is a 3d/flash guru & needs something sharp. I'm pretty sure they're looking for something 2A-ish.
Know what I mean, Vern?

I can come up with some good ideas for 500PH

...or can anyone recommend any applicable reference books?

the los logos books are very young and edgy and great resources...
- brooke0
Yeah, have them.

Seems that those books include a different kind of trendy, you know?
Sharp & edgy is what I need.
- brooke0
Yeah, not what I'm looking for. Thank you, though.

Say wha?

but seriously if you have the logos books by buro destruct then you should have inspiration enough for an edgy style direction, or do you mean something else with references ? odd request really

A book, for example, which shows identities for 3D/flash animators is what I'm looking for. It's a breed all on its own, really. I don't want the "Los Logos" trendy look, or anything classic as reference.
Why such an "odd request"?

there is no such thing as a specific style for "3D/flash animators" logos, to be honnest they usually suck because they try to cook up something themselves, in fact i have this theory that 90% of 3d people are actually technology nerds instead of visual artists, but thats a whole different discussion
i never saw Los and Dos Logos as a collection of a so called "trendy look" sure it may be relative contemporary but it ranges from classic to innovative to unusable unusual

I refuse to be so pessimistic! There's a book for everything & I will find what I'm looking for.
Thanks for your two cents, though.

2advanced logo is basically a modern variant of a monogram in their techno style
so if that kind of almost abstract is what youre after then the best inspiration is the name of the client and a sketch book
