Howdy folks,
Im doing a flash presentation for a client but they had a DVD done for a launch last year and want a section of it put into the flash doc. edited down its about 17 megs, I told the boss it would look shite but the client insisted. Now it in and it looks poo. IS there a way to make it run smooth and not look like shit when shown on a projector?

are you compressing the video? are yuou killing the original resolution?

i believe it has to do with the way you pulled it out of the DVD and the comopression settings you used in your Projector

Hi all,
Ok, the video sequence is roughly 20 secs, I got it from the company who originally supplied the DVD as a quicktime .mov file, 720 x 576 and 60 meg.
In after effects, I bought in the movie and exported it two ways, 1: as a '.swf' with jpeg encoding set to '9' at 320 x 240 and ended up with a huge file so when I bring that puppy in flash chugs along.
2: exported it as a quicktime mov from after effects then imported it as a video file which the sorenson codec compressed like a bastard even at 100 quality.
So then I make the projector file and when viewed full screen the file looks rubbish and runs really slowly. Whats the best way to bring in video? so that it a: runs smoothly and b: looks ok when put up on big screen for all to see.
Any help greatly appreciated!
