nice.
but i'm more impressed with your architecture project. modular construction kicks ass.
i love the concept...and especially how it is inlayed into an existing building/store front. the contrast between the old brick and new modular material is interesting.

Really love the typeface.... kinda feels like it has traits of DIN in there too. Nice work.

I really like the typeface, very clean...+ nice ampersands! How about sending me a Mac PS "demo" copy to use in some design work?

Kind of looks like Eurostyle or BankGothic rendered by TDR.
Is this your first typeface? There are some rendering issues, but its not a bad start...
- ivan_cook0
yes. it's my first. definately influenced by some of Build's work. i would like to add a set of Alternates later ala Avant Garde Gothic.

Bringing the font here.

!!! Nice addition to your work there Ivan !!!

that's your first? nice work!
I'd buy that for a dollar ;)
- ivan_cook0
drew all glyphs in Illy, exported to FontLab for kerning / metrics, etc. I'm still kerning the numbers and symbols a bit.

nice werk, Ivan!
i feel more DIN vibes in there then anything else tho..
also i feel the preview is a bit too tightly kerned.. is that on purpose?

Outstanding Questions:
We know its your first time.
Did it hurt?
What application did you use to make it a full on functioning type font?
- fifty500
I really like the DMK logo you did, too. And the LCB chair... just so pure and nice. How much would one of those cost?
- ivan_cook0
Vburo- thanks. it is on purpose (the kerning) the family is going to be Very closely kerned. Kinda like Avant Garde Gothic when WorkInProgress uses it.

omg! I remember the Seaside Spartans thread!
- dan_dan_dan0
Seaside Flashback? Like acid in your spine.
- ivan_cook0
fifty50: how much $$ for the chair? i would guess < $300 for materials and then a bit of labour. i'd love for someone with a shop and experience to help me find out :-)
- fifty500
so you've never actually produced one? is that photo a rendering?
