Hi all,
I'd like to see some examples of creative resumes. I just graduated a 3 year graphic design program and now is the time to re-do my resume. Just looking for a little inspiration thats all. Also if any of you Art Directors out there could give me some tips on things they look for when looking at resumes for jr. designer positions.
thanks

a good start would be posting your portfolio here under your profile :-)

Well said Ivan. Email me for resume samples Mr. Graduate. I'm going to redo my list of resumes I like. I'll have it done later today.

long time no see Dan. i've been buried with the font. :-) and going to NYC tomorrow. how you been?
./ carry on ./

yeah i plan on getting my portfolio up within the next week or so but i am still tweaking a few things.

portfolio is MUCH more important than resume. keep the resume VERY simple. most people tend to overdesign that stuff. feel free to look at mine on my site to see where i'm coming from. :-) good luck.

always always always create a logo for yourself. that's half the battle.
i can't stress it enough.

I'm in love with Ivan's site.
I love that script, i use it all the time.

./ someone is very sweet :-)

No, I agree Ivan. Super Sexy Script, that one.
I've been alright. GOING TO NY? What's going down in NY?
- dan_dan_dan0
I completely disagree with nburlington. So my statement would look something like this:
never never never create a logo for yourself.
Are you a company? Are you an organization? An entity?
Then why would you need a logo?
- JazX0
why? plain white will work just fine. don't over-do it bro.
- dan_dan_dan0
Yeah. The Font. I never took a proper look at it. I need to do that. How's it coming along (the font)?
Is this your first time creating a font?
What application are you using to make it a full on working type font?
- Jaline0
Logos are definitely appealing but are not necessary if it's just a personal portfolio.
I haven't had one for years but I guess it wouldn't hurt.
- ivan_cook0
Dan- HA! i was about to type that myself. personal logo's are odd at best. especially at an entry / junior level.

wow, danny asks more questions that I do! ;)

bit worrying if you're just out of college and you can't think of anything!

Keep your resume simple, that's the best advice I can give you... Your portfolio and work samples should speak for themselves in terms of creativity the resume should be about your experience, not your creative ability...

brookes resume is one of the more creative ones that i've seen.
