Whats the best way for up and coming designers and studios to go about submitting work to magazines, with the hopes of possiobly doing editorial design, etc?
(sorry about the duplicate thread)

I would say to do some comps...shop em. Get them in front of the right people. Tape them onto the ass of a mule, point him twords the lobby...smack his ass real hard and watch him run through the magazine offices promoting your work. Sure fire. ;)

be vocal. Do your best work, and take it to them. Ask what they think. What they like.
Very straight forward. You're not offending anyone - maybe you'll interrupt a couple of latte's, but you're the one doing the work.

load them into the end of a bazooka. then shoot them through the office windows so when the warhead explodes it shoots your comps all OVER the place. very hard to ignore that.

do what chuck behind no pattern does. say hi and be relentless. his work isn't all that special. but he sells himself well. and thus his work is out there.

...another black eye for chuck.
