Could not connect to MySQL: Access denied for user: 'nografik@localhost' (Using password: YES)"i know nothing about mysql :(

well you need to create the mysql table specified in the provided readme.
dunno if your provider offers mysql to start with but if so check if they have phpMyAdmin which is an interface for mysql (very handy). there you can copy and paste that one specified mysql command and it does everything for you.

another thing heavyt, the add_blog.php is open to anyone, the easiest way is to slam it in a .htaccess protected folder, yet you prolly have to recode everything to the right path. def. needs an admin tool for deleting as well.

how do you do that? i'm on media temple. i'm pretty sure they have mysql and phpMyAdmin
- rabattski0
i'm not on mt so i have no clue. search their support pages if they have 'em. call 'em if you can 'em. in other words: rtfm (not meant rude but that is where you will find your answers).

for anyone still having image upload problems, this worked for me:
1. open up blog.php and go to line 52
2. comment out that if statement and/or replace with the one below:
//Move file over
if(!empty($filename)){
copy ($_FILES['upload']['tmp_name'], "blogImages/".$_FILES['upload... or die ("Could not copy");
}i have no idea if this code will show up proper in these posts. perhaps. maybe this helps someone.

I get the following error when trying to add a blog.
Warning: mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/www/html/phlog/blog.php on line 125
Warning: mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/var/www/html/phlog/blog.ph... on line 130

this is the error: Table 'solographic_com_-_phlog.entries... doesn't exist
everything seems to be set up correctly I'm just not sure what these errors mean. any help would be appreciated while i'm rtfm.

With a little trial and error (and help from Heavy T) I was able to get this working. I'm impressed with it - simple in layout and function, but exactly what I wanted. Thanks for sharing this with us (and the link tool as well). Having no knowledge of MySQL, I learned a lot in the process.
*raises lighter in the air for Heavy T

Now I'm wondering if I could add an RSS feed to this. Any ideas? It doesn't seem like it would be too hard (but what do I know).
