Has anyone ever had problems ordering books through YWFT?
I went to order one the other day (I have made several purchases there in the past) and I got this error about my address. All my card info was correct and I used the card ealier that week on Amazon. So anyways nothing works even aft edting my address with caps etc. I try my other credit card (which I have used there before) and the same shit.
So YWFT tells me I entered info in wrong and nothing went through.
So I call Visa, to find they have been approved to take out 452 bucks from my account (I only ordered a purchase of 113 so I was approved 4 times). They said they arent taking any money out but I would assume something is fucked with their transaction system seeing as I was approved by my credit company, which means all my info had to be correct.
Now it leaves me with 6 bucks left on my card and I can't use my credit until Friday at the earliest.
Not cool, anyone else had any problems?
Or does anyone else know of any Canadian/USA stores that sell Jan Middendorp's "Dutch Type" ?

Yes I did contact them, they said they can't do anything, it just have to sort of roll off the credit card after 7 business days.
I had nothing but good things to say up until this order. It has sort of made me want to go elsewhere.

Id consider ordering it at typotheque, except its coming from NL and shippinh is 16 euros.

yeah, if Amazon doesn't have it i think you have no choice but to go with YWFT. I have never ordered from them but their site is the best!

Alibris is pretty decent don't have it there though. I guess I will order from Amazon.com on a different credit card, since .ca does not have it. Thx

I had the same problem once. Basically, some US based online companies use both name and address to verify your Visa card number (usually only the name has to match), but not all banks, esp some foreign banks (I live in Norway), have that feature, that is my bank doesnt store information about my address for my visa card. I remember ordering proteins for my workout from some US based online shop, in all I tried 3 times, but my card didnt go trough, later I found out my card was credited 3 times the amount I was about to pay. All money were returned in about a week (or 2 days, dont remember)
