got a numer 8 but the holes in the number are positive not negative spaces, any idea how I can subtract shapes ect?

damn. i'm working in fontlab, but i drew everything in Illy. and imported it as eps.
worst case; you can export that glyph as eps to illy. fix it and save as eps. then import back to FL.

yeah I did the same thing, but I thought lets give it a try here. busting my balls I tell you!!! Especially the integer issue.

I don't have fontlab on this machine so I can only give advice VIA memory...
On the top the screen menu it will be the second to last or last choice. then look for for an "intersection" operation.
should all sorted.

i hear you. making a font is one hell of a task. kerning pairs are driving me crazy. :-)

when you export your eps to bring into fontlab, all shapes need to be properly knocked out and made into compound paths. if you dont do that it wont register it as a counter.

If the outside points are not connected somewhere, the inner counters won't be white. There's probably a small break in the outside edge somewhere.
