Hmm.
I'll bet they fuck this up.Anyone in the UK remember Liquid Television on BBC2 that first showed aeon flux and other wierd animation?

this is the same as the animated ones that ran on mtv in the late 80s. very little dialog but still pretty cool.
at least, that's how i remember it.

The Aeon Flux series on BBC2 was a lot sicker than the ones on MTV so I recall.
Were there two versions or something?

I have a feeling the movie will suck nuggets.

Do you recall the Two Heads? They used them for Nic Nacks TV ads.... Put bombs in each others mouths and shit... I wanna know who the animator was.
- blaw0
the mtv ones were a drag because they were stretched out forever.
one short clip this month or week or whatever, then wait a while for the next one.

The very first animation was really cool. It was basically Aeon just trying to break into this living building/machine thing. Then MTV turned it into a series with recurring characters etc.

i loved that story, especially when the words were so minimal and you couldnt keep up with how many times Aeon had died. I am very worried about this film ruining the beauty of the ambiguity and bad assness of the original story...

oops. my dyslexia kicked in and i thought it said included.

two heads sounds familiar, but i'm drawing a blank on anything from the liquid television series other than aeon flux.
i just remember it was a lot of off the wall stuff and an enjoyable 30 mins. if you caught it.

for what it's worth, ours (u.s.a.) was called liquid television as well. i think it was exactly the same, but have nothing really to compare it too...

I don't know anything about the director Karyn Kusama. The only other movise imdb says she has done is girlfight.

liquid television premiered aeon flux, beavis and butthead, dog boy, the short that later became the movie office space, stick figure theater, and a few anime shorts...one in particular about the future race track where the guy dies and just keeps driving. i believe 'the head' and 'the maxx' both started there as well.
liquid television was probably the best thing mtv ever produced. pitty mtv has a habit of fucking up and cancelling anything good they put on.
aeon flux was also a full tv series. which later aired on cartoon network if i'm not mistaken.

(Apr 11 05, 10:05)That sounds right. I think it was the one about the rebels trying to convert a machine to thier side.
