even in death can they not find peace. I feel for the family, but relieved that her suffering has ended.

this is going to be on TV forever just watch.

nice how you choose to quit on your final note coward
personally, everyone in my family already has a living will in case of this exact thing.
if in a veg state, I want to die, even there are active brain waves, this stipulation in my will also states i am to be cut off from food if i become handicapped to the point of needing 24hr care.
my heart beating does not justify the need to keep me alive, nor the time and suffering such a state would cause on my family.
my grandmother, grandfather, father mother sister and brothers all have this as well
so again abizzy, fuck you

its amazing the religious fanatics including her parents were never able to produce a single scientific piece of evidence to disprove that she was in a consistent vegetative state incapable of being conscious. then again, the purpose of religion is to divorce oneself from reality.
and the reason that money is a factor is that the health insurance industry has a great deal to benefit from by a future where the government can force people to stay alive indefinitely.

curious to see what they determine from the autopsy.
peace to the family.

I think this method of dying is cruel and we will never know if she suffered, safe to say if she suffered those last days, its nothing compared to the last 15 years of alledged suffering.
This is why we need some MDs like kavorkian(sp?) and laws to make the end more humane.

well thanks :)

(Mar 31 05, 15:42)I knew someone would bring that up. Obviously I don't know for sure. Arrgrghh...everything is just so complicated. There is no right answer.

letting her starve to death is worse than murder in my opinion...
... horrible agonizing pain - what ever happened to cruel and unusual being outlawed?
And for those of you who believe she was 'brain dead' and couldn't feel anything... fuck you - no one knows what's really going on inside her body or her brain. A bunch of 'instrument readings' saying that the woman is brain dead is science/doctors being arrogant again and thinking they know what's going on.
... it's all speculation based on data - but we DO know what pain feels like.
