I wish i were able to edit a pixel as if it were a 2x2px square. Little nano pixels with in a actual pixel.
I hate rounding of characters to bigger or smaller.oh well.

You can get half pixels in everything/anything vector. Explain what you are trying to do.

im making another px typeface for my site in fontlab i know i can make a px a 2x2 px but i was saying wouldn't it be nice if u could still edit a px in a 1x1 size little nano px's. never mind
end topic.

you can learn so much about typography going from 1x1 up how letters evolve in pixels.

anything u make in illustrator is better made if you start out with shapes.

i wonder what you are talking about.
is there a book on this?
- mevsthem0
not that i know of.
- hotreport0
You mean like one pixel consists of 4 subpixels... and each of those 4 subpixels again consists of 4 subpixels each, etc etc, within a given limit of levels
- mevsthem0
what im talking about is impossiable atleast i think so.
you can't edit a pixel its 1px after a pixel there is nothing which is still something. but wouldn't it be neat if you could edit a pixel like you would be able to edit a 2x2px.

I imagine there could be a new tool in photoshop, a pixel splitter, zoom in, click on any pixel you want and it splits it in x*x subpixels. It would be good for pixelated images and whatever pixel crunching you do, but probably not for photo editing, as it would mean uneven resolution in different parts of an image
