Acer support scks!

    Sorry... I just really need to ventilate...

    One and month ago I sent my Acer Laptop to Acer for repairs. The screen just didn't work no more. Apparently a know issue to Acer since the repair was only going to take 2 weeks.

    2 weeks ago... My dealer informed me that my laptop was delivered to the wrong address! Monday, I was told by my dealer, it was going the be delivered to him on Wednesday... That was yesterday... Today, I called up Acer to find out what was going on... Turned out my laptop is still in the Acer HQ in Holland. So it's obvious I asked if it was going to be shipped out today an delivered tomorrow. I thought that wasn't to much to ask since it was there fault it got delivered to the wrong address in the first place.

    Now how in the world can this take over 2 weeks? If I call a courier service, they pick it up within half an hour and an hour later it arrives (in Belgium obviously)... How do you explain that this takes more than 2 weeks for Acer?

    The dude at the helpdesk told me he can't even promise the laptop was going to be shipped out today... WTF? I can't even demand that according to him?

    To make the story even worse, I already sold this laptop (luckily to a friend) because I've switched completely to Mac and it's obvious that he's also getting tired of hearing "it's getting delivered tomorrow".

    Anyone else had this sort of experience with Acer or some other company? And what did you do about it?

    hmm thats no good news for me, as my acer needs some support also.. theres a glitch in the screen.

    Yeah I know... I bought an Acer... I've bought it a year ago 'cause I was just starting out as a freelancer and didn't know if I was going to make enough money to buy sumthing else... So yeah.. I went for the affordable choice. I really had no complaints about the laptop but this so called support is just unbelievable. It's their fault they sent it to the wrong address and they can't fix that in over 2 weeks? I just don't get that.

    Sure... I'm sure every support center from every brand has its horror story but if I would have done something like this (sent it to the wrong address) I would surely do everything in my power to set things straight asap... And that's not the case at Acer...
