I found out one I was using was getting a 25/hour markup on me. Highway robbery I tell ya.

Fucking hell. That's utter bullshit.

Of course, they should have advised you of that in the contract or whatnot, right? So it's not like they were pulling a fast one.
Shitty all the same.

They suck. Had to wait more than 7 months for payment on a job because the client couldn't pay and had cash flow problems. Stay away from them if you can.

god damn. I wonder what my current one makes off of me.
Although my recruiter is a really nice guy and helps me find exactly what I'm looking for.
First priority is finding clients on my own

If you're making a respectable rate yourself, why do you give a fuck what the person who finds you work is making? More power to them.

Get employer to "fire" you and then pay you $20 more per hour.
They'll save $5/hr and you'll get $20 more.
- You sign a contract that states you can't work for them for ~1-2 years unless you pay or go through the recruiter/agencyfourth
- What happens if you still do it? They'll never know.bainbridge

The real talent of the agencies is their ability to charge so much for you.

Yeah like those douchebag sports agents, 20% take on 100 or 200 million contracts? For doing what? Sending high class hookers to suck the owner's dick?
