Don't like it that much. Typo is trong and solid, but the logo itself is kinda weird. Seems like that person is missing a brain and that bothers me a lot.

I think you're totally missing your audience. This isn't a design company, its a high school. The logo lacks a "traditional" feeling. Even if they are a new school, it doesn't matter... its too modern & wont stand the test of time.
And... first thing I saw was a 7 on top of the guy. Then I saw Elvis. Then I saw a guy w/ a mullet.
Just my 2¢.
I saw a great logo for a high school a while back, if I can find it, i'll give you a link.
I just get the feeling that you're designing for yourself rather than the client here.
Nice work in your portfolio, btw.

I like it!
What Antonellio says doesn't match my opinion of design. You've got to be modern.
btw how can he say you're working for yourself if he saw only one picture and didn't talk to the client?
Good Job, maybe put some colours in it to make it more fresh and attractive for students.

I fin most of the time the logo matters not. It's ALL about how you choose to brand it.
Right off the bat I like it, but you might be thinking of some ridiculous ways of using it, so It's hard to provide a proper critique without seeing it in use.

RED, what's "modern" now, wont be modern 50 years from now. It's a high school, & it'll be around for a looong time. Get it? Wouldn't hurt to bring some warmth into it.
And knowing this type of client isn't that hard. It's not like it's some obscure company that you have to find a shit load of information on what they're all about. We all went to high school. It IS just a regular high school in Cali, right? Or am I missing something?
Sorry, this logo just doesn't do anything for me. It's too cold.
*just trying to help.
Off to bed... catch ya later.

I thought it was for an insurance company or something.
I think this logo has a classic feel to it. I've been looking at older logo design books lately and that reminds me of some classic logos.
not sure if that is good or bad.
- cloned0
insurance is what i thought too but now that i thinkof it there is already a company that uses a way more detailed version of this logo
but what is it???
- caseyc0
I want to like it but I dont. Just doesnt seem at all appropriate for a High School. I like the idea of keeping it clean but if it is going to be simple it has to be equally strong and bold.
The mullet comment is dead on btw. I would feel bad for the kids at that school. Lol.

Hey antonelli,
Diamands are forever, logos doesn't.
Look to the logo of BP.
It has changed several times so why shouldn't a logo for a small thing like a high school change over the years?

I don't know what its all about, but visually it looks really nice.....nice!!

i think antonelli is right on the money.

agreed.

and make the mark look less mod. make it look regal. the serif will help too, you're using a total pansy face for a high school.
imagine your logo on a basketball jersey.
- REDWOOD0
Hahaha,
You amaricans and your highschool logo's are strange man.
That's good for a footbal team not for a school.http://images.google.be/images?q…
These are European School logos and i think this one realy fit it and its even more modern.
But like i said before you should use more colour.
