I know a lot of us work insane amounts and are usually doing something related to work most hours of the day.
How many of you actually take the time to make dinner? i bet most of you that do are either married or living with a significant other. I try to cook. I really like to. But most days I'm just too tired for all of that. I can manage it maybe 2 nights a week. Weekends I'm usually out and about or going to mom's house for free dinner :)-

I live with a food writer so I tend to eat pretty well, and frankly shes better at it than me. Saying that I did make my chicken and roasted veg cous cous for lunch today...
I like cooking, but I always cant plan over a week, basically I'm a shit food shopper, but I can knock up that little special something now and again. Curries and stir firies being my best

mushrooms and green chili almost every night, with either fish or chicken on the grill. and brocolli and carrots in the steamer. pretty boring but better now that i dont eat out anymore

I make a mean Vindaloo :)
but yeah, often too busy/tired/lazy to cook

I'm married and like to cook a lot. But again, time is the issue.
My wife works hard, just like me, so sometimes no time.
However, here in Japan most supermarkets dont sell anything like as much oven-ready stuff as the UK etc... Its mostly veg and meat and tons of fish, so you have to do something with it.
Only got into cooking when I got here really...

sometimes i get on a kick and say, im going to cook 4 days out of 5 this work week. I'll go to the store and spend a lot of money. two weeks later all the food in my fridge has gone bad cos i went on a 48 hour workathon, and then got too tired the rest of the week for anything more than sitting on my couch.

damn kezza that sounds fuckin great. lucky guy.

when you live alone or w/ only 2 people sometimes food goes bad. But it is still way cheaper then eating out all the time.
I always have a couple frozen sausages in teh freezer and some spaghetrti for those quick fixin' nights.
Its tough though, I've been slipping lately. But I just made some falafel the other day. real quick easy, and tasty. A little lettuce, pita, and plain yogurt and you've got a sandwhich!

I cook almost everynight. The good thing that helps me is I work at home, so I cook for my girlfriend almost everynight give or take 2 nights. They make great leftovers for lunch and way cheaper. my specialties are
tortilla soup
home made lasagna w/ pesto.
