Site Crit for Promotion Company

I'm designing a site for a dj promotion company called Chocolate Groove. (Funky house music) I have to use the logo given. Not sure about the general lay out and structure. Any coments welcome. No conntent yet so I just have thhis index page. thanks

looks like you got a mish mash of elements and juggled them about until them seemed to fit. It all seems a bit big, brash and clunky, and really just a bit misplaced. sorry jmho

Thanks. I might go back to the 'drawing bord' on this one. I find it hard when I dont have any content to work with.

yes. i see what rasko is saying. There is a lot of wasted space, and the grid is not so tight. But by the looks of your menu, you have only a few elements to include and you presented it simply and it looks balanced.

Yeah I only really have a few paragraphs of copy to come and a few photos. Maybe if I get rid of the background and tighten up teh grid.

THE BACKGROUND IS NICE,
But this site doesn't look like a promotionsite to me. You are defnetly missing your public with this kind of graphics.
Make it more mainstream (but not cheap). Look to sites of other promotional companys and put some pictures of people on it. That always work for this kind of things.
