just completed my online portfolio, ant ideas welcome.

fantastic work.
i would avoid launching via a pop-up for each piece, there are a lot of more elegant solutions available.
Why is the pop-up's content in Flash? If it doesn't really need to be, then it makes getting to the work over-complicated.
also i would consider if that background is really the best for each of the projects. maybe it changes for each, or becomes a solid color.

some nice work.
what i didn't like was that the title/description was on the bottom of the cells rather then the top mabe thats just me and i agree about the pop ups and background i would just make it a solid color and light depending on the image.

thanx man
I like the drop down menu thing you got going on there in your site, I wounder if it would be possible to empoly the same system on mine instead of the pop ups, I agree they are not Ideal, as for the background, Im happy with it, but if I see more people criting it badly then I will consider chaging it.
- mevsthem0
its not that the background image isn't a good idea but wrong choice cause it feels like a wallpaper. dunno mabe wood would work better? but yeah good stuff.
- Kiko0
ahh, seems do far that the Backgrond has to go then. I didnt want to leave it plain as the site is looking serious enough I think and I didnt want people to take me TOOOO seriously. But Ill think of something else, along withthe pop up issue.
Thanx guys

a background could work, but you have to be careful that it doesn't fight with your work for attention.
not that i'm a huge fan of them in general, but check out how...
Josh Davis
www.praystation.com&
EVB
www.evb.com...tweek the bkg color to add to the given project.
this could be done with a pattern or image as well, but it would have to be "ON." otherwise might as well skip it.
:-)
and again, really nice work there.

id also forget about shadows :)
i don't like looking at work that is scanned or made into a image. I prefer looking at photo[s]. Even if its a logo seeing it on a business card or used on a truck, product etc
- Kiko0
wow that EVB site is cool. Thanx for the tips, and thans even more for the compliment. ;)

I would say the background detracts from the work. I like the way you've chosen to list the work. Also, don't have untitled document on the popups. And I'm getting scrollbars hor/vertical on the popups in Safari.

Nice work but add some content - tell us what your role was exactly, what you did, any hurdles, what was the brief, etc.
Make us appreciate your efforts by knowing what they were.
- Kiko0
yep I love ISO50, I think I will take that peice away, it was a test for myself, but its waaaay to close to his style. Thanx for the comments. Any ideas on replacing the pop ups then?

bit of an obvious rip off of:
- stewart0
boooiiiiing!
- fate_redux0
pffft, not a rip off, just inspired.
- Kiko0
well I never seen that site before, but its not ewxactly the most complicated idea to come up with, is it?
- fate_redux0
Don't worry about it Kiko.
