back in the day norton utilities did its best to recover files you'd just deleted... whats best now?? - i just deleted something i want back - i haven't restarted - i *know* its still there.... i need it.... i need to download some software and get it back - Please help _me_

cheers tony. i got something back - not the actual file i wanted but teh one i used to create it so not all is lost! it was a picture of uncle_helv's momma! i'll post it up once i remove the shag rashes! ;)

data rescue, check versiontracker. saved once 50 GIG of mp3s for me

Have you tried a Roll Back thing? It reverts the computer back to the state it was in during a certain time.

I'm sure you can download it from somewhere. There are various other programs around too.

go back is only for PC :/
data recover just confused me! It just seemed to scan the current state of the hardrive... i was expecting a 'trashed in the last 24hours' folder to sift through...
anyway - a mate of mine ran some terminal scripts and got some bits back - all good now...
