So i was wondering
is there anyone else on here
who loves to cook as much as they love to design?Come on out You NT Chefs and share.

i love cooking more than i love designing...
and of course, eating what i cook.
- chossy0
yep I love cooking esp. for pals and girlfriends

I like cooking *almost* as much as I enjoy design work. Cooking is a lot like art and design -- you take a whole bunch of very different elements, in different colors, and combine them using very specific quantities to make something balanced and enjoyable to consume.
That'll be the only analogy I'll whip out today.

right on.
cooking is a great de-stresser for me.nothing like using my hands and invovling all the 6 senses.

my latest obsession has been biryani...its been goign on for almost a yr...well since i move couple of months back havent had the chance to take a crack at it.
Biryani is one of the hardest things i've ever had to cook. Anyone tried their hand at it?

Emeril Lagasse has this great piece of advice for what type of wine to use in your cooking: Never use a wine that you wouldn't drink.

I made a chinese shrimp dip at my mom's place last weekend.
soy sauce, lemon juice, chinese hot oil, and green onions cut on angles. It was really good.
I havent been cooking as much lately, sadly.

Put myself thru school working in restaurant kitchens. My favorites are smoked meats and grilled fish and veggies...it was 70 degrees yesterday and now 30 and snowing like mad...and i thought my grill was calling me last night...grrr...

I'm pretty rubbish to be honest but i'm starting to teach myself. Made a cream of celery soup last night - peice of piss to make and very tasty. I was quite chuffed.
