i tried teh alpha build, it's fucking horrid. ran like shit on a very nice computer.

are you rockin' the beta? I heard there's a 64 bit beta out there somewhere... scary though (not to mention that I'm still running a 32 bit chip).

alpha had nothing in it except a few experimental interface layouts thats all and that sidebar. Noone has had a copy with avalon etc. that im aware. and win fs is not coming till 2007 anyway watch the video aswell looks nice. Mac interface is to white.

anyway upload going offline in 5 min or less.

as much as i do like the classic look and thats what i run, the longhorn interface is what i will be using if the don't fuck it up:) time to move on.

Getting ready for bigger resolutions?
Dood, within three years any company in their right mind will be building OSes that are fully resolution independent and there willl be no need to step up to a bigger resolution.
I for one do not find Longhorn particularly attractive; their "translucent" windows are bulky and don't serve much of a purpose, and that space killing clock bar thang is ricockulous.Toastie, I got to play with Linux just they other day, I must say I was impressed. I love being able to have multiple desktops, so useful.

i tried the longhorn build i had and on a 2,8Ghz P4, it was almost impossible to move the windows, becuse all the translucensy is done through the 3d card which the box didnt have.

word, dablammit, what distro/desktop manager?
