How much should I charge for developing 2 original human characters, realistic proportions/expressions, about 15 sketches in total? Drawings are in pencil.

how many hours is it going to take?
are they the type that is going to piss around with changes galore?
- fate_redux0
it's taken approximately 6 hours thus far.

I was thinking $500. Is that too much? Too little? Total time spent will be about 15-20 hours.

15-20 hours... i think 500 is a bit low personally... i pretty much stick to charging 50/hr as a min.
i think 750-1000 is more like it.

but fate is a student..
i'd try to be not too greedy.
but it depends on the sort of client.

True vormburo. Client is a friend/business contact I've known for a while. He's pitching an animated series (He used to work at Hasbro and has done this before) so he wanted me to come up with some concept characters: Main character and Super Villian.

oh shit... you're a student?, sorry i don't keep tabs on everyone.

- vburo0

don't let him hold you down though the fact you are a student can be easily shadoed by the fact you are talented if your sketches turn to toys you desrve ALOT of money keep that in mind
