Basically to cut a long story short I have been having a torrid time at work since my 2 creative Directors left leaving the owner (a true marketing man, a gift of selling tea to a China man, but a fucking nobhead) as the Creative director. Me and him have never seen eye to eye and I have had problems with pay (I get a crap wage), holiday (he denies it when he feels like it).
Just today I have received 2 emails offering me a hefty web gigs and another on the horizon but I am primariy a print designer.
Do I quit on the back of this or slog on till I find a new job and then quit?
Whadda think?

do you want to be doing web stuff or sticking with print?

Get out, your whole life will feel better and your food will taste better and breathing won't feel like a chore. No job is ever worth that kind of grief.

do it.

Proper answer:
You should do what you're heart tells you - as long as your brain is tempering any immediate flourish with the knowledge that any such change would be beneifical.
Basically. if it pays and it feels right - Do it.
Believe me, there's nothing worse for your head and soul than getting stuck in a rut.

yeah quit. I went from print to web, then flashy stuff to html-y stuff, it's a piece aof piss and all about ideas/composition in the end anyways.

I will never leave my print hertitage. But I am a designer, and a designer that designs no matter whether it is print or web. I still call myself a print designer but I have upped my web skills and intend it to be a new skill that I can implement when asked. I also have friends who can help me on more technical stuff if it gets if the going gets tough.

switching horses midstream .. dunno. how long is the current, ugly situation going to last?
perhaps you'll end up with a raise and more time off for attempting to quit .. that's a hard one.
is it hard to find print work in the southern UK?
