and how do you get there?
i drive about 20 blocks to my current contract. i wish i was more prepared to get there another way... like bike. but i always seem to walk up with only enough time to get ready and run to the car.
once i drove 3 hours each way to a job. it totally sucked. 6 hours a day total. that didn't last long. that kinda commute will kill you or drive you insane.

45 minutes each way, and a $3.50 toll for a bridge, each way.
horrible sometimes, but not enough to drive me insane, YET!

however long it takes for me to walk from my bed to my desk (usually about an hour and a half between morning coffee / cigarette and tv)

About 45 minutes on the subway. But unlike driving, I don't have to pay attention to anything. And I'm in lucky, I'll get a seat and sleep.

an hour commute seems kinda long. i dont know if i could do that. luckily i havent done longer than 30 minutes in years. and, after 30 minutes im itching to get out of the damn car.

i dont like the placement of the "..." in this thread. it's misleading.

When I worked in london, my commute would be about 4 and hath hours on a good day.
Up at 5AM, get the bus for 6AM, then the train, then the TUB. And I fucking hated every minit of it. Cost per mouth £400+ 25 to get a cab home at night.
Did that journey for 4 long Years.
