Folders crash when opened in Panther

  Hey all,
  Everytime I try to open a folder I'm getting the pinwheel indefinately. The finder is dying and I don't know WTF is up. Hardware test came back fine. Reinstalled OS. Trying to run Norton but it doesn't recognise anything, no hard drive, nothing.

  Anyone have any idea what's up?
