let's say i have ONE long 60minute mp3 track that i want to burn on cd using iTunes.
is it possible to add a sort of labels/hints to the track so i can skip from label to label when i play that audio cd in a regular cdplayer?
i can use the fastforward button on my cd player remote control to do that, but that's just crazy.
basically i want to use the "prev/next track" buttons on the cd player to hop from label to label.

why don't you cut up the track? would make everything easier imo

is that easier?
but than i need an audio edit app for cutting up the track, right?
that's not easier.

I'm sure there are free demo audio apps out there that you can use. Any help, JazX?

wow. that's oldskool. i remember cd players having index forward and back. haven't seen those on players for a long long time. but technically it should be possible, i mean cd players understand it *if* they have that index button though. how you burn it? no idea, i'd suggest checking google or itunes / apple pages.

opening a mp3 file in an audio edit app, cutting it up in pieces and save again as mp3 and after that burn it on cd causing a decrease of quality, isn't it.

use QT Pro and cut it up there. super easy and as long as you don't adjust the compression andy denser, it will be fine.

i have QTP so i'll give it a try
it's a 1,5 hour mp3 though...

cutting up a 1,5 hour mp3 in soundedit isn't easy at all.
let's give this a *bump*

in Nero: select a track, doubleclick -> indexes/limits/split -> split = voila
