ok I am trying to open up a browser inside of a mac projector I have prepared in flash. I really need advices on this one.

not sure if this is what you want but have you tried the getURL action?
like this
getURL("url",window,method)
or do you need it to open inside the projector file? not sure how to do that.

I believe you have to create an appleScript to do the functions you want and run that.

mick is right, can anyone point me in a direction how to open a browser in a predefined window size?
The hard part is I don't have a mac..

you can't open an app inside the projector. what beech says is about the way you should go about it. use javascript within the page you're calling to define window sizes etc.

OnD, I need to prepare a applescript file to open a specified sized browser in a mac environment. but can I prepare this in win, because I don't have mac right beside me.
I have solved this issue in windows by flashjester.
am I clear?

clear enough like, just nae sure if ye can or no......
I'm no an appleScripter like. Sorry

and if the projector is fullscreen i think it is impossible to open a browserwindow OVER your fullscreen projector file. in that case the browserwindow will be invisible because positioned under the fullscreen projector.
good luck.

stewart I have solved it in win, but I am not a mac guy and looking for solutions.
any help is appreciated.

I've had a browser open in front of a full screen proj before just using get URL...though i'm not sure you'll be able to specify the window size this way, as usually you have to put javascript in the original html page that contains the .swf and then call another file... but as you're running it from a projecter you can't embed the javascript. Does this make sense?
Applescript maybe the way to go but I'm not familier with that.
