Name the school you attended for your BFA (or your experience) and then name what you think are the top 3 schools with an MFA program and why...

Are you talking Fine Arts here
(as in painting, photography, pringmaking)?Well I went to York University in Toronto Canada.
Canadian Picks would be York University, University of Alberta, Nova Scotia College of Art and Design.
Picked soley on the quality of teachers, and the courses that they offer.

Yeah, basically if you have an art degree, where and what was it and if you were to pick a place to earn your masters, where would it be and why...
I went to Eastern Michigan University and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in Graphic Design.
My 3 top picks currently would be Cranbrook, RISD and MCAD...

I got my BFA at Carnegie Mellon. The MFA is pointless unless you want to teach kids trying to earn said BFA.

I got my bachelor's and master's at Maryland Institute.
Marylnad Institute has a new design program headed up by Ellen Lupton, it's conceptually based, not neccesarrily "job based"
in my "current" experience, I have not seen a signinficant increase of work because of my degree, but then again I got it because I wanted to devote myself to art, as opposed to getting a job.
What kind of program are you looking for?

sorry for the late response. just switched jobs, served jury duty and I accidently killed my parakeet. (it's been a stressful week...) thanks for the responses. anyway, i'm just interested in peoples educational backgrounds and what motivates them to go to this or that school and why would some pursue an MFA as well. some only think in $$$ and that's fine, if that's why you design and what motivates you. just wanted to see where peeps are at. for me it's more about a love for design and an opportunity to explore & experiment.
