after checking out the second cup website (posted in the pbs: http://www.secondcup.com/) i again realized that almost all coffee shop logos are circular, always with some sort of illustration / clipart in the middle and always text wrapped around it. why is that? and who started it?

nice one, BlueJam.
i'm going to go out on a limb and say Starbucks with their ridiculous mermaid.
granted, i blame Starbucks for any and all human suffering.

Heh, best coffee in Seattle...

I've been wanting to take a picture of the Starbucks headquaters building and post it up on here. It's really creepy with half the mermaid's head sticking out the top.

while zeitgeist does serve up a truely stupendous cup of "joe", i believe the best coffee available in seattle comes from bauhaus. even though the coffee they serve comes from san fransisco...i feel like a traitor...

why we're asking about round logos... WHY are car company logos mostly round
(other than the obvious - tires are round and the history of family crests)

====================I want proof of that notion. Because a cafe that sells one brand and serves another is usually a big fat business no no.

as quoted from seattle.citysearch.com:
http://seattle.citysearch.com/pr…
"Sip San Francisco's Caffe Trieste espresso and coffee, or nibble on scones, croissants, Ding Dongs or classic breakfast cereals."
- shotoshi0
