Thanks.
And if anyone is interested or for future reference :"Hi all.
The easiest way to import or export bookmarks is to activate the Debug menu in Safari thus exposing Safari's hidden Import/Export Bookmarks, as well as a whole host of other useful features. To do this make sure you quit Safari, then launch Terminal from Utilities and type:defaults write com.apple.Safari IncludeDebugMenu 1
When you launch Safari you will have a Debug menu and you will find the Import and Export Bookmarks there. If you want to get rid of Debug, quit Safari and type in Terminal:
defaults write com.apple.Safari IncludeDebugMenu 0
If you are uncomfortable using Terminal, there are some utilities that will enable Debug Menu available at VersionTracker.com. Cocktail, OnyX and TinkerTool are just a few. "
