Dude, I had the exact same problem a while back but for the life of me I cant remember how I solved it. Sorry. If it pops into my head Ill post it here.
Did you check and make sure everything is on a full pixel? All the text fields and all the movie clips, if the text is in movies clips that is. If the text is in an MC even though the text field is on full coordinates, if the MC isnt then the text will blur.

exactly what I mean about coordinates. set the MC to whole numbers.

If you have a scrolling text box, use Math.round([your expression]); to position your text.
I just did a big Flash site with a lot of pixel fonts. I have to say I'm surprised how trendy this got considering how hard they are to work with, especially if with a few nested clips.

whats up with the 96 dpi for Macs and 72 dpi for PCs - i mean, how does it affect pixel fonts? Im pretty sure I read somewhere, that setting the pixel font to 8pt is equivalent to 6pt on a Mac due to the dpi difference, etc?

isn't it just very old macs that use 96 dpi?

I have some that are just plane on the stage, and just a few in a movieclip; I've worked from the inside out of the movieclip, and everything rests on precise pixel XY(whole numbers).
just seems like such a simple idea, apparently not.

Is the font size a multiple of 8? Also did you change the kerning?

also, is the font a bitmap or post script? do you have 'anti-alias' selected in the properties box?
