i've saved a load of my image files as jpegs to save hd space. when i go to open them it tells me that the file is incomplete etc. and opens only half the image. is it possible to get around this problem? i've saved them from master tiff files which i've then dumped and need them pretty bad! please anyone know how to fix this problem?
thanks in advance!

Oh dear, try opening them in different programs. I think ur gonna be a bit stuck

it's fucking annoying because i've opened the same files in the past with no problem and when it fucking feels like it seems to corrupt them!

Shit dude, well good job it wasn't stuff for the Big Issue

it's some of my background textures! which is even more fucking annoying. tried opening them in, quicktime and illustrator and still corrupting! DON'T TRUST JPEGS! managed to find one of the originals as a tiff and that opens fine. how are things at the big issue? have you just joined debut art as an illustrator?

try just dragging them onto your browser... can be a little more forgiving

i spoke too soon! it shows the whole image within my explorer browser window but when i download or drag it to my desktop photoshop still says the file is truncated or incomplete!! WTF? how can my browser read it and photoshop won't? any more ideas? ta.

screen grab it and then paste it together in photoshop if it is too big... or even then drag it from the brower to photoshop (that probably won't work but worth a try)

try a "save as" from the browser??

tried save as, the best option so far has been the cut option but still shows a little corruption but does show more of the image. can't do a screen grab because it's a high res file.
thanks for your help so far - there must be a way! if explorere can manage it then something else must be able to!
