A Science programme on BBC reported that the earths axis has shifted one inch as a result of the Asian earthquake, and that a few minutes of daylight was lost. What will the long term implications be? Hotter summers? Hotter winters? Hotter men?

a few minutes? as far as i know everyone is talking about 3 microseconds. not minutes. so the entire day: 24 hours - 3 microseconds = new day.

+ jet prop. lab says that changes can only be measured from 20 microseconds and up. so 3 is too small.

Lets round that up to an hour then to keep it simple....

that's cool with me. but only if you recode the entire time system including all seasonal corrections for the next decade and do a projection about the loss of income due to a shorter production day. in threefold. by the end of the day on my desk. thank you. :)
