sunday we went to see Life Aquatic and I was a bit disappointed, except for the bravura slow motion ending with Bowie's Queen Bitch on the soundtrack. last night we went to see Sideways at the shithole Regal theater in conshohocken. The print had 4 or 5 vertical black stripes running through it and 45 minutes into the movie it broke and we had to get a refund. By the way, what does anyone think of the english pop groups Blur and Suede?

i was thinking of seeing life aquatic tonight. i hope it doesn't let me down as well, in short i hope my standards are lower then rands.
i am not a huge fan of either blur or suede, although i do think blur has some quality tunes.

I LOVED Tenenbaums and Rushmore, and was really looking forward to it for around a year and a half. It had the deadpan humor thing and the quirky styling, and the good soundtrack, but in my opinion lacked the heart, my son, the HEART. But still worth seeing, I think.

eh... life aquatic is a movie... be entertained by it and move on.
It was enjoyable... and Willem Defoe is really underrated as an actor - he's rather enjoyeable in this film.
Sideways was a-okay too.. sorry the real broke, rand.

breakin' reels sucks!
and i agree that Willem Dafoe was teh awesome. This is my favorite scene (watch the last third of the video)

did you just call me "son" rand? i think you are confusing me with someone else here on nt. i am all set with my vector flourishes.
- Rand0
"my son" = "dude" or "bro"
- grayhood0
oh, sorry bro.

I'm reading a book called Britpop, which talks a lot about Suede and Blur, but I don't like them all that much. I like the book, though
