Any suggestions as what app is best for processing sound files (for a broadcasting station) on a Mac?
When I was on Windows, I quiet fancied Sound Forge, but they don't have a version for Macs (at least I am not aware of it).
Thanks, Geri ;-).

You're right, SF is the standard for PC. For Mac, try the editor that comes with Logic or Pro Tools. Although, they are more sequencers than editors.

Thanks for your tip JazX ;-).
Any other recommendations?
I gave Audacity a go but I'm afraid it isn't stable & powerful enough for my needs... :-(

wasn't Cool Edit Mac-based? turned into Adobe Audition: http://www.adobe.com/products/au…

don't the propellerhead folks make some good audio editting softy for the mac?
- JazX0
maybe...? Steinberg's Cubase will do it for you, but not sure if that's Mac-based...? The Propellerheads do more supporting their own systems formats mostly ie (.rex, .rx2, etc.)

although you can slice and dice up a wav file pretty easily with ReCycle, but as far as it having a lot of editing tools, it's limited, more for syncing up things and exporting as .rx2

adobe audition is good for cutting up and applying effects.

Yes, it's Adobe Audition that I have been looking for. That should do just fine.
Thanks a lot ;-).

Heck, it works only on Windows! What a downer... Back to square 1 I guess... :-(
