How about these? Maybe not then, they're a little pricey.

they say bose, I am not sure why

Earbuds will never have the punch that real headphone have.
My advise get real headphones, Bose are good, but I always thought Sony have better construction, they are durable.
And sound pretty good, specially the MDR series. If you are a sound purist, try sennheiser, they make good pro quality headphones.
Akg are another option.
hope that helps

all in-ear headphones sucks. I think,
I prefer a real pair of big headphones.
I got the Sennheiser Symphony Series. They are big, they are good, comfortable and warmy.

i kinda gotta agree with the big headphones i have the original ipod fones, the ipod in ear fones, and the sony MDR-V150. i gotta rank them in that order, 3,2,1
any full shiz headbangers are gonna make you deaf to the world and smile while you listen to how music was meant to be heard.
i do rotate between the sony's and the in ear, but really, only when i feel like the big ones are too much to take with me. they get compromised for something more pocketable.
its either ipod wagon or audiofile wagon... seeing that you had b&o's you are likely the latter. you will pay 10 times the price just to get an in ear that sounds almost like a fullsize... doing it once is enough... but after taking one of that pussy's nine lives... i would get headbangers. blah blah blah...

i have a pair of sony mdr-7000's - love em... and you really can't compare the quality to even the best earbuds... although i'd be interested in trying out those 500 pound earbuds that were linked up

I just bought a pair of these:
http://www.audiocubes.com/catego…They don't sell them in the US, these came from Japan through that website above. Most reviews say that they benefit from some burning in at first, but they sounded good with my ipod on the first listen. They block a ton of noise out, they will be nice on the subway to and from work.

Here's a suggestion:
In-ear headphones are no good.
I have always felt that they concentrate too much sound into too small a space, TOO close to your ear drum and all the important bits of your hearing.
Anyone else agree?
I also think they are too much to deal with when you have to take them off to check out at a store, speak with someone, talk on your phone, etc. With connected outer ear headphones, they are much easier to take off.
And who cares about how big headphones may look on you - either your a sexy looking person or not, and the right headphones on the right unsexy person can probably act as a beacon to other audiophiles that you "know what you're up to."
Over and out.
