I have a question for legal type out there. If I work as a designer for a studio. Who actually owns the work that I do say I have a web compfor a site that i created. Who is the rightfull owner of that comp; Me since it came out of my head or the studio since I used their computer to create it.
Just Wondeing... in a little bit of a debate.

shouldn't that be stated in the contract?

Its not between a client and myself its between my boss and me.

i would say it belongs to the company then.

I'd say the studio.
Unless you are a consultant with a contract stating that all work you do for them is your intellectual right and property.
if you work for the company as one of employees, then the company owns it.

if you work full time for the studio... then anything you create on the studio's time is theirs.
If you are under contract for the studio... you need to read the fine print.
