help w. study?!?

  hey there all,
  i was just wondering how long you people have studyed for? i have just done 2 years at a polytech and now im wonted to get into Victoria Uni here in NZ and ill have to do 3.5 more years..... is 5.5 years to long? should i expect to have to do 3.5 more years? or should i try for another Uni?
