MLVR, efnet kiddie? i used to be really into the mp3 scene.. ripper.. courier.. in many groups.. etc - funnily enough, i only cared about design because i ran an mp3 website and wanted it to be the hottest one out there. i didnt even do the designs, my friend did... but he was the one who truly got me excited about design back when i was still 13-15.
zedvox, nice little piece there, glad to have you back around here.... would love to see what you've been up to.

nick; hehe yeah... lots of efnet but it all really started out with bbs's.. were hanging out in #ansi... we did alot of gfx for big trading group's bulletin boards. groups like pwa, dod etc. i reckon that was the way to design for many people... you remember that quilt zoom thingy posted here xxx times recently? that was made from old ansi and vga artists calle ice, insane creators enterprise :-)

I have no idea why I keep working. The only justification I have is that I can't keep away from it. I spent a week between jobs this year, didn't touch my computer, didn't pick up the geeeetar, didn't take a picture, and it just about drove me mad.
So, I work because I can't not work.
Lucky me.

I think I could've been doing anything that has to do with problem solving and business developing. It's a bit of a slump that I choosed design as my tool though. Or slump may be the wrong word because I seem to always have been attracted to express myself visually. First with grafitti and my first step into design was through ansi. Low resolution text/ascii based design. Almost like grafitti but on screen. have a look here for a example of an ansi I did back in 93-95 i think: http://www.sixteencolors.net/Art…
Later ansi made me start with so called 'vga' wich is more lite real design http://www.sixteencolors.net/Art…
sorry if i went off topic :-/

Jaane,
That movie is one of the hose life changing movies.....i wish i had seen it when i was 17 and getting into college.
i came across it by accident, its still very hard to get in the US.but i feel a movie that should be shown to every 18 yr old....and shown to every designer.
One of the few times wher ei have cried watching a movie that didnt involve Julia Roberts or Hugh Grant.
