i had one of these this morning.
what's the point? you may or may not have a position 2-4 weeks from now you say? why did you get me out of bed to quickly flip through my book? why did i pay $10 to park? why are you an asshole? i thought his kind of shit is what the internets was for?
anyone else ever had one of these?

No, but I've had those of the 5-hour variety. Not sure what's worse. I can only 'effing smile so much.

I think 15 minutes was the shortest I've had, but it was the end of the day and I recieved a pleasant phone call from one of the partners the next day. But it seemed like the ultimate worst interview at the time.

the last one i had like that got me hired on the spot. but i don't understand why someone would email me after seeing my site and want "to schedule and interview asap" and doesn't even have shit to offer. like wtf?

while waiting outside a DC ad agency (the mother of all oxymorons, right their) for an AD interview, the CD came out with the previous candidate *overheard- "you should really reconsider your choice of careers"... then they were out of earshot.
So she makes me wait in her office for about 15 minutes and I 'm looking at all these shittly comps on the floor and the walls, she walks in and realizes I overheard her tear this guy a new a-hole. I never even opened my book. it was clear she was a power-trippin, no talent wannabe and I politely excused myself and never returned.

which pr agency was this ;) i remember interviewing in dc when i lived there. this one woamn offered me a job after a 2 hour interview, and when i tried to call her back she wouldn't return or answer my calls. again wtf?

methinks it was ogilvy.
small fish in a small pond with small minds. i think dc agencies are where sorority bitchz go to die.
never again. (in this town at least)

that's pretty inconsiderate, john. sorry to hear it.
$10 and an early morning seems pricey for a name on the "don't wanna work there" list.

or worse. i had one that was 3 hours long.
after as they were saying by it went something like this...
'sorry but you're not what we're looking for, we pretty much knew that before you came in because you don't know c++ but we wanted to make sure.'
wtf?!?

I would have to say the long variety is much much worse. Yes you get your monies worth for the parking but several hour interviews followed by several hour callbacks are difficult, or at least painful, confusing and frustrating.
