I have a lot of friends who buy reclaimed properties in ghetto neighborhoods and fix them up and turn them out as rental properties. not the glamorous life, but I have one friend that doesnt have a real job and is clocking 15 g's a month. plus he is fixing up the ghetto, if that means anything to you.

Nick does "side jobs" and racks in about $10.50 a month.

OH SNAP!!! dobolina, that's fuggin tight holmes! Yeah, I'm definitely into fixing up the ghetto, since that's where I was raised from a young age. That sounds hella cool. The wheels are turning...

I guess $30+K of student loans, $700/month rent, util's etc - $400/month car loan, i$160/month car insur, $80/month health insur...
... not to mention the credit cards and all the bullshit it takes to run my business means much I guess.
I must be one of those trust-fund kids that decided to work two jobs while going to college fulltime and still pay his rent because I'm into the mental S & M game.
Sloppy... ask before you assume. I'm 28, own my own biz and have worked my ass off to be comfortable (which is far from rich). But if all you care about is the money... then yes... get out of the design business.
I don't know what else to say.

cyberthug, search google for 'los angeles sheriff's sales', it will get you on the right path for finding distressed properties that are ripe for the picking.

abizzyman is busy paying off his debt. You made it out like you were making good money and having a decent time with it. Now it makes more sense. So essentially this confirms Cyberthug in that even if youre making good money youre going to break even just being a design monkey.

That's "Cheese Eating Surrender Design Monkeys".
