depending on what their business is it could be kind of tough, unless they want to pay some good money/

Doesn't have to be a terribly large sum of money though. Try a pay-per-click campaign via Overture or one of it's competitors. It'll get you alot of visibility on many different search engines and meta search engines. You can say you want to spend $150 or whatever a month as a budget, and then you bid on the keywords you want. The $150 will last however long depending on the popularity of the words you choose.

Oh yeah Google adwords are another way to go.
Be sure you are creative with your word/phrase choices, make sure you are using terms potential clients would use.
And do your best to keep the phrases to ones that are under $1.00 per click -- which can be hard because it seems like the good phrases are always the most expensive.... but offbeat ones can work for you.
I kinda work with a guy who's been doing the search engine game for a few years now and has gotten some great results in the industry he's working in (healthcare staffing company). He mentioned that he's come to the conclusion it's better to go for a $0.10 phrase than a $3.00 that describes your site/company exactly.... the budget goes alot farther.
