Just got a bill for the email account on a domain i bought but don't use yet, i never asked for an emailpackage so i called the host to ask whatsup... seems like they sold my domain to an other company (they havent told me that much yet but i did a whois and it's no longer registred to me), it seems like this other company ordered an email package, and i got billed for their order!
does anybody know what my rights are when they announce that the domain is sold to another company?

from the date the domain expires you have two weeks to renue it then its free to sell. the should have emailed the email address that appears on your who is details, whatever that was. I nearly lost my domain as the notification email was sent to my hotmail and went into the junkmail folder

You shouldnt be losing a domain if you do your administration of it properly (lock it, setup auto renew etc so that if you cant be contacted it must stay yours)...and best to register domains seperately from any hosting...
But if you did lose it, you cant be held liable for anything to do with it since...whats the problem?
