Anyone who has this album care to share thoughts on it?
I've been reading a lot of reviews that claim that Encore is Eminem's worst album yet... I can't disagree more. I've been listening to it closely since I got it yesterday and in my opinion its his best project so far. His flow is unlike any other rap artist out there.... the production on the album is breaking new ground by introducing a very new sound to the industry...and the lyrical content reveals a side of Eminem unheard of before this...
I'm wondering if all the negative reviews have anything to do with Mosh, the song against Bush...
Anyway Eminem is one of my favorite artists and it pissed me off to hear people bashing him for changing his pace.
Here is a link to an annoying but less credible source of review: http://www.sixshot.com/articles/…

Don't get me wrong. I totally respect anyone who isn't feeling the style change. Its different when someone says its bad music though. His flow is rediculous and more advanced than anything else out right now... It wouldn't make any sense for this album to sound like the last 3 because the guy is 32 years old now... he has matured as an artist and its reflected in his music.
Just Lose It is crap though. This I agree on but I read the Rolling Stones interview with Eminem the other day and when he was asked about the single he said it was some nonsense put together because they felt that there wasn't a single yet...
Singles are made for stupid ass TRL watching People magazine reading sheep dummies anyhow... so I can understand if its shit.

have you heard "my 1st single"? he made it just to address that he puts out a crap but catchy song on every album to get the sales going

I totally love his stuff so I'll buy the album first day it's out here.
can't wait to hear it!

Not a big Eminem fan but that Never Enough song is pretty good... 50's got a good verse on there.
- blackspade0
like he says, he can never make another 'my name is' but the constant pressure is there to produce that kind of a single
havent heard the album, only heard that one track, 'love u more' its alright

all hip-hop and rap artists sounds the same to me... its even worst than rock band.
the music is going no where. we need to search underground stuff to hear original and interesting stuff.
my opinion

anyways the unique goal of a rap artisit is to make a lot of money.
and our kids loved them so much.
they even have shows on MTV where they showoff their big houses and their 24 TV sets.
I hate hip-hop and rap.

some times people dont understand, that hiphop is more then just rap, its rocknroll too...also r&b, also blues...
but anyway
i hate rappers that say stuff like, 'i'll never be able to make another 'mynameis''
uhh, in the sense that you'll never make another single for your debut album, ummmm... duh!
but if you're a rapper, you will always have to do better then before,
but todays rappers, like homey said, all about the doe!
THE WIRE'S ON BEEEEYOTCH

Benfal, dont stereotype a whole genre of music just cause some hip hop artists like to show off their cars and money. There is a lot of quality hip hop artists out there right now you just have to know where to look...i.e. Mos Def's "The New Danger"
- benfal990
cornflake,
like i said we need to search underground stuff to have quality and originality. Iam sure there is good hiphop somewhere.
- son0
you dont need to search underground either

Ok, i get what you're saying Benfal, but there is still some good mainstream hip hop out there. Anyways.... some good underground artists for you to check out are:
Brother Ali, Binary Star, K-OS (not really underground here in Canada but probably fairly unknown to the rest of the world), Little Brother, Masta Ace, MF Doom, Murs, RJD2 (mostly instumental stuff), Sage Francis (Really concious and poetic style)
Hope this list helps you find some new quality music.

Yo Son.. I hear you man. People you say hiphop isnt going anywhere need to take a closer look at Hiphop because it has the unique ability to reinvent other genres of music. It can mix with all types of music whether it be classical, country, jazz, all styles of rock, ancient chinese flute melodies, whatever...
Not to mention how advanced rap is lyrically. If you break down the verses you will find that they are build on complex rhyme and flow patterns. Its not 1997 anymore. Rhyming words is far beyond matching suffixes together.

there u go Benfal
people are giving u a clue
