portfolios in flash

hi dudes and dudettes,
anyone can answer this,
if you create a portfolio of images (jpgs) in flash, would you:
1) load all the images in the flash movie at once, considering the size file.
OR
2) load the movie, and then as the viewer selects the thumbnail, it then loads the images from a server, or calls for another swf in another frame or likewise.thanks in advance, you super flash expert people,

much better to load on demand. It will run faster and you can make your images higher quality.

If you don't have many images, you *could* put them all in the flash file, but it soon gets hefty.
Better loading them in from external jpegs on demand. I did exactly this kind of project recently for a photography studios website...

Yeah I did. And I couldn't tell you now how I did it, seriously it's dirty dirty complicated code even I no longer understand. Heh.

man, i made that site 3 years ago, with the help of a .fla file that some stupid guy put on his website with the .swf file
