Buisness: A little bit of advice

Just to let everyone know. Slander is a very serious issue and it's also against the law. If you're smart and you have something bad to say about a company, don't be an idiot and put it in writing. If you have something to say about a person, don't be a fool and email or IM it to someone, or post it on a message board.
Earlier today an old account manager at a place i was freelancing at IMed me a bunch of lies and bullshit after she just quit. She said a bunch of stuff i really had to clear up with the president of the company, so I had to call him. This meant i pretty much had to tell him everything she said to me. She did this all over IM so i have a copy of everything she said. I'm pretty pissed that someone (that i really didn't like anyway) would spread lies about me, a company i like, and a business man i really respect. She just screwed herself, and now i wouldn't be surprised if she gets slapped with a pretty heavy lawsuit.
She actually tried to spread shit about me before and i had to give her a talking to, so i certainly didn't appreciate her trying to shake me up again. People who instigate drama have this kinda stuff coming to them.
Be careful who you blab to. It can really hurt you if you're not careful. She also sent a bunch of emails and probably talked to other people as well. I think she thought she was going to go out in a blaze of glory. Little does she know... Hopefully you all know better than to repeat what she just did.

Too true, I wouldn't put any negative opinions in writing. even if it's on a post-it note! it can still be used against you (even when you've done nothing wrong or were just joking).
