A Perfect Circles version of the classic...
What do u think?
Love the contrasts in the footage

i watched that video this morning, it was on much music. isn't it a recreation of a devo video? i am not a big fan of a perfect circle but i don't mind that song or video.
- blackspade0
a devo video ?
im not sure
Yea i only saw it first time last night, glad its being played
i see its been posted already in PBS

some very pwoerfull imagery in that video.
unfortunately APC completely destroyed Lennon's tune.
- Soler0
I actually actively dislike that song. I maybe even hate it.
That song by John Lennon is possibly the best song ever written. And to hear some cheap-ass, half-ass, lame remix of it is insane.
Who the hell thought that "remixing" Imagine would even be a good idea? Are they going to make it better? NO! They are terrorizing it for a new generation of idiots.
If someone didn't like the original, then fuck them. I wish a perfect circle would fall off the face of the planet. done.
- blackspade0
destroyed it ? i dunno
i thought their version suited the vid, gave it darker undertones
- blackspade0
i dont see the problem using lennons message again, thru a new voice that reaches a new generation
- -leah-0
agreed blackspade.

definitely fits more with the darkness of the video... but my take on imagine is that its meant to be an uplifting song in a time of sorrow.
for me, this just makes me more depressed.
- blackspade0
and is it really a 'remix' ?
i thought "remix's" were only done by Puff Daddy
- 2cent0
haha... yeah, i would call that remake not a remix.
- mr_snuggles0
here, I'm sure you'll all hate this...
- van_rijn0
the imagine clip is tits. nice concept
- blackspade0
the only part i didnt really like was the talking babies
- Soler0
oh excuse me... they aren't "remixes" they are "reinterpretations and covers" according to their website.
What fucking grayskulls. Why don't they write a song or two instead of bastardizing one of the greatest songs of all time?
I mean I don't really care that much but godamn-- doesn't anyone see the grotesque nature of remixing this particular song? I won't even watch the video, I don't care what it is. It won;t change my mind one bit.
- -leah-0
yah the talking dolls were super cheesy. total flashback to 1997 or something.

Solar
"Why don't they write a song or two"
u do know who Maynard is, and how many fucking classic songs he has written yes ?
- Soler0
I don't know about classics... But shit man. Yeah, he's pretty much the shit. So wtf is he doing? what is this cover song bullshit?
here are some other J.L. lyrics you may enjoy:
i've had enough of watching
scenes
of schizophrenic - ego - centric
- paranoic - prima - donnas
all i want is the truth
just give me some truth
- elahon0
Jesus, chill out. Just go back and listen to the original. It will all be ok.
Nothing wrong with a cover. Maynard has been around for years (Tool?) and been pumping out some kick ass tunes.
It's not my favorite tune, but I'm not going to set the building on fire over it.

I love imagine! I think that APC took it abit further and is making people look at themselves in the mirror. This great country or society we live in has alot to work on. I thought it was a pretty good cover and an interesting twist on the classic. I listen to it couple times and it really made me feel J.L.'s words and realize what I mentioned above. I am anxious to listen to APC's new album.
