Is there a way to reduce the Max Density (90, 80, 80, 80) of Black in PS? I have a printer that won't print something cause the density is to high. Are there any tricks or rules of thumb for this?
Thanks.

first, if you have to reduce the density in the black parts don't reduce the black, but the yellow, and after that if it isn't enough - the magenta.
printers don't like to print over 300% density
(like 100%C + 100%Y + 100%K)

do a super black at 50, 30, 30, 100. i asked a couple printers and it was the same % they were using when doing a super black.
