irst, here's the info:
- Poster announcing an event with speakers who have seen the horrible human rights abuses in Guatemala
- Colors are from flag, shape of country at bottom, soldier at right. How bout it:
- gruntt0
overall - very nice.
what is the image coming in from the right hand side?
- Tara0
very nice but it's not clear that it's a soldier

I like it. One thing tho, if you can make the imagery work, the photographic element is difficult to understand, you won't need the paragraph of text at the top. In fact why not try a version with the white text replacing the word 'Guatemala' which you have in the background?
Bottom line, you got way too much info going on.

it's too friendly
could be a poster for a theatre performance or something.
the whole atmosphere doesn't cover the story behind the human rights abuses you told about.

agree, the shape of the country is unclear, as is the soldier. looks like he's falling into a hole. i like the caminos type treatment, looks kind of crowded. why don't you let the type lead into an overhead map of the region to make it clearer what's going on?

Get rid of the cooler hues... the blue/green background conflicts too much with the agitated type treatment.

How's it look if you take out the screened 'Guatemala' letters.
Something about it just seems a little too cheery. Maybe the font for Camino's? I can't quite put my finger on it.
It's a great piece though!

The readability of the small white text over the larger white letters in the background is pretty bad.

take into account it will probably print darker.

easy on the eye but..
I saw a cute sloth, and then I looked at it longer and read about bad stuff it needs changed.

yeah make it a little more dire...project a need to stop what is happening. This gives me a feeling of continued tolerance when it should be STOP THIS SHIT NOW.
