I have finally got a bit of freelance work and its doing a presentation in after effects for a new company called rice
I was wondering how much other designers would charge for a 2min looping presentation with a deadline of 12hours or less?
An impossible job I know and I have to get up and go to work in the morning.
If anyone out there can help it would be greatful. THANKS

thanks for the reply but does anyone else out there have a good idea on what i should charge

moo I am not joking when I say you should charge at least 100 usd per hour. That is a very cheap price considering the presssure, you can say '100$ per hour or no presentation' by the way that is a shit cheap price and if you charge that then I would expect a shit cheap presentation.

i ask 40 euros an hour for such a tight deadline.

yeah that's starters rate.. 40-70 euros per hour.
if you are more advanced/successfull go to a rate above that..

..but if the client puts you under the pressure while it's them to blame... go for 100 per hour at least indeed!

I must agree with the earlyest post... when I client asks for something in 12hours or less, that gives you leverage. I would start at $100 /hr, and go down as low as $80 if negotiations are nessessary.
If that doesn't work for you...
take your standard rate and double it. Thats what most every other business does for rush jobs.
